The NADAL® COVID-19 Ag Test detects components (viral nucleocapsid protein) of the COVID-19 pathogen SARS-CoV-2, and is intended for use in the qualitative detection of the virus. Samples are comprised of nasal secretions taken from the lower nasal passage (anterior nasal swab), which are collected with the help of the swab provided. The test can be used anywhere and is suitable for self-use outside a laboratory environment. A positive result provides a first indication that an infection is present and that there is therefore a risk of transmission to others. A negative result does not rule out infection with absolute certainty, as low viral concentrations - such as those seen in the early stages of infection - may not be sufficient to be detected by the test. The test is suitable for both symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals. Children and youths under the age of 18, as well as those who may have difficulties understanding and implementing the instructions for use, should be supervised/aided when carrying out the test. The test is not suitable for children under 2 years old.
