Result interpretation:

seconds, and certainly within 1 minute. In every case, the colour will be fully developed after a maximum of three minutes. A further lapse of time produces only a slight deepening in the colour. The final colour will remain stable for several hours. The presence of GBL in the tested sample will cause a colour change from white-pale pink to intense turquoise.
