Result interpretation:

The colour changes already start after a few seconds. If the relevant bases are present, the colour changes take longer – a maximum of 1 minute. In every case, the colour will be fully developed after a maximum of 3 minutes. A further lapse of time produces only a slight deepening in the colour. The final colour will remain stable for several hours:
If cocaine is present in the sample to be analysed, a colour change from white/pale pink to turquoise/pale blue occurs. In the presence of the base (crack) in the sample to be examined, the colour change takes a little longer.
