The individually packaged test strips are used to detect Zolpidem. The present test yields a positive result from a cut-off of 25 ng/mL.
For regular testing of specific individual parameters, we recommend the test strips in the container. They are space-saving and environmentally friendly, as they save packaging waste.
Zolpidem is a sedative hypnotic that is commonly prescribed in Europe and the USA for short-term treatment of insomnia. Zolpidem has a similar mode of action to benzodiazepines but belongs to a separate class known as "Z-drugs," which also includes Zaleplon and Zopiclone. Zolpidem is rapidly absorbed by the body and has a short elimination half-life of a few hours. The substance can be detected in urine for 1-3 days. The usual recommended dosage for adults ranges from 5 to 12.5 mg in extended-release tablet form. In the body, the sleep medication is converted into pharmacologically inactive metabolites. Therefore, it is important to note that the target compound of our Zolpidem rapid test is the main metabolite, Zolpidem phenyl-4-carboxylic acid.
