The individually packed test cassettes are for the detection of phencyclidine. The test will yield a positive result from a cut-off of 25 ng/mL.
Unlike test strips, test cassettes require only a few drops of urine for a reliable result. Test cassettes are suitable for use in laboratories, as they are easily integrated into a workflow.
Phencyclidine is also known as 'Angel Dust', 'Killerweed' and PCP ist auch bekannt unter dem Namen „Angel Dust“, „Killerweed“ und PCP – and is derived from Phencyclohexylpiperidine . It is an anaesthetic, but is no longer used as such due to high risks. PCP was first used for non-medical purposes towards the end of hte 60s. It was often sold as LSD, mescaline, psilocybine, cocaine or THC - mostly in the form of powder or tablets or even as plant material. There have been cases where PCP was mixed with marijuana. Prolonged use can cause tissue damage to the brain and nervous system. This is particularly worrying as there is as yet no antidote to treat an overdose.
