Opium, known for over 200 years, is nothing more than the dried latex sap from the opium poppy. The main active ingredient of opium is morphine, which is considered the gold standard in pain treatment. It binds to opioid receptors, preventing the transmission of pain signals to the brain. Additionally, it induces a calming and euphoric feeling, as well as tranquility and satisfaction, which leads to a high potential for dependence. That's why morphine is classified as a narcotic. Close monitoring of morphine intake is strongly recommended. Our rapid test reliably detects the active ingredient and covers most opioids as well.
