The AFIAS Vitamin D Neo Test is a fluorescensce immunoassay (FIA) for the quantitative determination of total 25(OH) Vitamin-D2/D3 iin human whole blood/serum/plasma. The test is for use as an aid in the treatment and monitoring of vitamin D levels. It is also a useful tool for the management and monitoring of calcium ad phosphate concentrations in blood, and promotes healthy growth and upkeep of bone structure. For in-vitro diagnosis only.
This test is for use in the diagnosis of a vitamin D deficiency. It is intended for use in patients with osteoporosis, chronic kidney disease, malabsorption, obesity, certain infections and who therefore are at an increased risk for a vitamin D deficiency. It can be used to support evidence before starting aggressive treatments.
